Resolved: Campus Data Warehouse Loads Failing

Update 3/20/2025: 

Daily snapshot data loads into our legacy (Oracle) Campus Data Warehouse have resumed. Both legacy and modernized (QuickSight) systems are now capturing daily snapshots on Admissions Funnel, ERS Student, and ERS-derived fields across the various dashboards.

Daily snapshot loads into our modernized (QuickSight) Campus Data Warehouse have resumed.  

You may now find daily snapshots for the pre-census Admissions Funnel, ERS Student, and ERS-derived fields across the various dashboards.  

The fixes to restart daily snapshots for the legacy (Oracle) data warehouse are in the process of being migrated to production and will be available soon. 

Update 3/7/2025: 

Daily loads are now failing in our legacy Campus Data Warehouse (Oracle) due to the removal of access to ISIR_STUDENT and ISIR_COMPUTED from CMS production, in compliance with federal financial aid regulations.  

The Campus Data Warehouse team is working on solutions to modify the processes and restart the daily snapshot loads for both the legacy (Oracle) and modernized (QuickSight) systems. 

Some progress has been made in getting the overnight data loads from the Data Lake restarted in our modernized Campus Data Warehouse (QuickSight), but ERS-derived fields as well as the ERS Student and Admissions Funnel data models are still not updating nightly in production yet.  

We will share more updates soon.  

Alert: Campus Data Warehouse daily data loads are currently failing. 

This is because the Chancellor's Office removed the ISIR_COMPUTED table from the Data Lake as of Tuesday, 2/18/2025. This is breaking the load plan and causing load failures. Further, the ISIR_STUDENT table was removed from the Data Lake as of Tuesday, 2/25/2025.

The Campus Data Warehouse team is currently working on a solution and will provide updates as they become available.
