Degree Composite: Degree Honors - Slight Data Differences Exist

The Campus Data Warehouse team is aware of a problem with the Degree (Census) - Composite > Degree Honors dashboard in production where degree honors data differs slightly from our legacy data warehouse. We are currently working on a solution.

This issue is being worked on in ITSR#23481639.

Title: Degree Composite: Degree Honors - slight differences - soft delete needed

Degree Composite > Degree Honors - slight differences

Slight differences in the numbers (totals match)

See existing Jira issue: https://csu-dw-modernization.atlassian.net/browse/CDM-5661

From Simon: There are a number of records in Oracle DEGREE_COMP_F which are sourced from SIA_DEGREE_F records that no longer appear in the source system. Generally, this is not a problem, since DEGREE_COMP_F is intended to be a snapshot of the state of our records at the time the snapshot is taken. The lack of soft-delete/cleanup is an issue, as this can create additional data in the composite table(s) that is not reflective of the point-in-time data. This should be cleared up in AWS by the addition of the delete process on WCS_DEGREES_F.

That said, there is a small amount of drift in the data over time, and comparing AWS data with Oracle data that is loaded months if not years apart makes it impossible to get a fully accurate comparison even when taking that data change into account.
