Cal State Monterey Bay - Campus Data Warehouse Updates

The Campus Data Warehouse has been loaded with Degrees census data for the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026. Preliminary graduation rates are now available on the Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) dashboard. You may now find updated census data on the following dashboards: Degrees: Degrees (Census) - Academic Years Detail Degrees (Census) - Terms Detail Time and Average Units to Degree Degrees (Census) - Composite Degree Honors Degree (Census) - Composite Multilevel Crosstab Table Academic Program Review: Academic Program Review > Degrees Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) Graduation

The Project Rebound student group has been added to Campus Data Warehouse to support reporting and analysis for students participating in the program.  The new student group is available across the following data model and dashboard areas: Enrollment (Census and Pre-Census),  Retention and Graduation (Census and Preliminary),  Grades (Non-Census),  Degrees (Census),  Credentials (Census) Using the Project Rebound Student Group Where Group Breakdown controls are available, users can select: Student Group | Project Rebound This allows dashboard results to be grouped by Project Rebound participation. All updates are now available in Campus Data Warehouse production. The enhanced Time and Average Units to Degree dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production.  The dashboard has been updated with new features and user experience improvements, including a new Trends dashboard page, redesigned visuals and interactions, and standardized filter control layouts for consistency with other ERSD dashboards. Getting There Campus Data Warehouse:  Shared folders / Dashboards / Degrees / Degrees (Census) / Time and Average Units to Degree Enhanced Overview Page The Overview page has been updated to include Postbaccalaureate summary metrics in addition to First-Time Freshmen and Upper Division Transfer students. The summary table now displays headcount, years to degree average, total units earned average, campus units earned average, and transfer units earned adjusted average by admission basis group. Update 3/26/2025: The Degrees (Census) - Academic Years Detail dashboard has been updated in Campus Data Warehouse to fix issues with Academic Plan filters that were not filtering the data on the dashboards as expected. In addition, other minor fixes were made to correct formatting with notes on the dashboards and remove redundant Academic Plan filters on the CSUMB / College / Major Comparisons dashboard.    Multilevel Crosstab Table:  Add a filter for CSU Academic Plan = "pAcademicPlanOwner" to all table views,  CSUMB / College / Major Comparisons:  Remove redundant Acad Plan filters from visualizations,  Fix notes/delete icons,  Degrees Awarded Academic Year Trends:  Fix notes/delete icons,    Update : Changed Percent Complete from "0 %" to "100 %". The Campus Data Warehouse team is aware of a problem with the Degrees (Census) dashboards in production where the "Degree Description" filters are not displaying the correct values and not filtering Academic Plan filter controls as intended. We are currently evaluating the problem and working on a solution.  This issue is being worked on in ITSR# 24035896. Updated 12/5/2024:  The updated Degrees (Census) Overview dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production and includes data labels for all data visualizations. The "All" "All" subtitles have been removed and the College Description and Major Long Description fields have been changed to multi-select controls.  

Update 11/04/2024: The temporary workaround Campus Data Warehouse implemented to clean up the duplicate degree records runs after the daily load of the data warehouse each morning. The cleanup process is scheduled to be completed by 8:10 AM. If viewing these dashboards after the load has been completed but before the cleanup process completes at 8:10 AM, you may see incorrect data on Degrees (Census) dashboards. Update 10/15/2024: The Campus Data Warehouse team has implemented a temporary fix to correct the degree counts for Academic Year 2023 in production. You may now use the Degrees (Census) dashboards updated with the corrected data. We continue to work on a fix for the underlying cause of the duplicate counts and will provide further updates as they become available. Update 10/24/2024:  The problem has been resolved and the updated dashboards are now available to users in Campus Data  Warehouse production. You will now find the CSU Academic Plan Owner filter control contains the correct values and filters the dashboard as expected.

The Campus Data Warehouse team is aware of a problem with the Degree (Census) - Composite > Degree Honors dashboard in production where degree honors data differs slightly from our legacy data warehouse . We are currently working on a solution.
