Cal State Monterey Bay - Campus Data Warehouse Updates

After resolution of the AWS Quick migration errors issue that was blocking migrations of the Institution Summary dataset and dashboards from stage to production, new enhanced features are available on the Retention and Graduation Detail and Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) dashboards in Campus Data Warehouse production.  Retention and Graduation Detail:  Group Breakdown redesign implemented across Trend Comparisons, CSUMB / College / Major Comparisons, and Multilevel Crosstab Table pages enable faster discovery using the Group Breakdown dropdown search and eliminates multiple controls for selecting Group Breakdown fields. The Trend Comparisons page has a new design enabling easier comparisons across selected Group Breakdown categories along with an Average Rate (Across Selected Groups) for comparison. Update 6/24/2026: AWS Support enabled a fix in our Quick stage and production accounts that has allowed us to successfully migrate the affected datasets and dashboard from stage to production. 

Update 6/24/2026: The issue where the metric selector was not working properly on the Enrollment (Census) Academic Year Detail | Academic Year Trends was fixed by correcting the parameter reference passed from the control to the metric logic. The dashboard metrics now update as expected when the selector is changed.

The Enrollment Demographics (Non Census) dashboard in Campus Data Warehouse has been enhanced to facilitate easier querying and saving of dashboard customizations for extended education and international programs.  A new "Academic Program Code" filter control is added on the dashboard for selecting extended education programs and to facilitate sharing and saving dashboard customizations.  Other new filter controls include: "International Student" added on the dashboard and "IPEDS Underrepresented Minority (URM) Description" and "Study Agreement Group Description" added in the "Controls" section at the top of each dashboard page. In addition, the Group Breakdown controls on the Multilevel Crosstab Table were updated with the redesigned interaction. The Term Enrollment (Non-Census) dashboards have been updated in Campus Data Warehouse with new features and user experience improvements, including redesigned Group Breakdown controls to facilitate discoverability and search for grouping categories and fields, standardization of layouts for consistency with other dashboards, and navigation enhancements. Update June 11, 2026:  The updated Historical Enrollment (Non-Census) dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production. The Group Breakdown logic was updated and fixed and the redesigned Group Breakdown user experience was implemented. Additional changes were made to the dashboard layout for consistency with other dashboards and a new parameter filter for Academic Program Code was also added for trending analysis for Extended Ed program trend tracking.
