Alert: AWS Quick Suite Dataset Migration Problems Prohibiting Migrations
Since the Amazon Web Services (AWS) launch of the new Quick Suite Data Preparation experience last month, some existing datasets are producing (CONTEXTUAL_UNKOWN_SYMBOL) errors when attempting to migrate updated datasets from our stage to production accounts for Campus Data Warehouse.
Impacted datasets (so far):
- Class Enrollment (Grades, Faculty Student Success, Course Enrollment Demographics dashboards and others)
- Institution Summary (Retention and Graduation dashboards and others)
The impact for our Campus Data Warehouse development team and end users is that we cannot currently migrate any new development that relies on these updated datasets to production. Several bug fix and enhancement tickets that have been completed in our stage environment are pending migration to production.
AWS support case 176411999700835 has been submitted, and AWS support acknowledges that the Quick Suite Service Team is aware of these issues and is actively working on it. However, the AWS support team has also shared that it may take their internal teams time to complete their investigation regarding the issues, and they cannot currently provide any timeline or further information on when these bug fixes will be implemented.
