Resolved: Prelim Ret/Grad Not Retained and Not Graduated Enrollment Term Filter Issue

Updated 12/3/2025: 

The issue with the Enrollment Term filter not properly updating the cohort and Matriculation Term displayed on the Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) > Not Retained and Not Graduated page has now been fixed in Campus Data Warehouse production. 

Users may now select prior Enrollment Terms and Cohort Metrics to see the Not Retained and Not Graduated groups of students from terms prior to the enrollment term students are currently registering for.

Original Issue:

In our October 30 DUAG workshop, users discovered an issue with the Enrollment Term filter control on the new Not Retained and Not Graduated page of the Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) dashboard.

When selecting earlier Enrollment Terms on the Not Retained and Not Graduated page of the Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) dashboard, several visualizations show No data, blank columns, and the appropriate cohort matriculation term is not updating as expected. 

On the Not Retained and Not Graduated dashboard page, the Enrollment Term filter control is not appropriately updating the visualizations when an earlier Enrollment Term is selected.

Issue has been identified as two calculated fields used as filters, "Terms to Include Spring" and "Terms to Include Fall," need calculation logic modified to use the Enrollment Term parameter rather than most recent fall census term.

This will be a QuickSight analysis fix only.
