New Dashboard Available: College Annual Metrics

We are pleased to share that a new College Annual Metrics dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production.

The College Annual Metrics dashboard brings together annual college-level metrics in one place to support planning, annual reporting, program review, and conversations about student success and instructional activity. Users can select a college and review recent trends, year-over-year changes, and comparisons with Cal State Monterey Bay overall where available.

The dashboard includes the following pages:

  • FTEs (State) Overview: Review state-support Major FTEs, Instructional Student FTEs, and Student Faculty Ratio together to understand broad college-level trends over time.
  • Student Diversity: Explore how the student population in your college has changed by gender, first-generation status, and IPEDS Underrepresented Minority status, with comparisons to Cal State Monterey Bay overall.
  • Major FTEs: See how college Major FTEs have changed by academic plan (major) and support type, including which programs are driving growth or decline.
  • Instructional FTEs: Review where instructional activity is generated by department or instructional unit in your college, including state-support and self-support activity.
  • Student Faculty Ratio: Examine Student Faculty Ratio trends for your college and how they compare with Cal State Monterey Bay overall, including detail by course level.
  • College Retention and Graduation: Track college-level retention and graduation outcomes by cohort type and compare trends with Cal State Monterey Bay overall.
  • Equity Gaps: Identify retention and graduation gaps by student group, including first-generation status, gender, Pell Aid receipt, and IPEDS Underrepresented Minority status.
  • Average Student Credit Load: Understand student credit-taking patterns by graduate and non-graduate programs, including comparisons with CSUMB overall and full-tuition headcount trends.
  • Appendix - Majors Retention and Graduation: Review retention and graduation outcomes by academic plan (major) at matriculation with comparisons to the college and Cal State Monterey Bay overall retention and graduation rates to support program-level student success conversations.

From Campus Data Warehouse, navigate to:

Shared folders > Dashboards > Executive Overview > College Annual Metrics

This is a request for a new dashboard in Data Warehouse that will summarize all the data used in the Annual College Metrics Reports. Included will be graphs, tables and charts that cover faculty workload, student diversity, contribution margin, major and instructional FTEs, student FTE per faculty FTE, average student credit load, retention and graduation rates and equity gaps. This will benefit the college analysts and deans as they prepare presentations for the annual reports
