Alert: CSUMB Data Glossary Scheduled Maintenance — Tuesday, August 18, 2026
A major infrastructure maintenance window is scheduled for our CSUMB Data Glossary hosted by MyWikis Tuesday, August 18, 2026, beginning at 3:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The maintenance is expected to last approximately 4–6 hours, with service restoration anticipated between approximately 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
The maintenance is being performed by MyWikis’ infrastructure provider as it moves primary server infrastructure to another data center. The work is intended to improve infrastructure reliability and provide a smoother experience for users.
What to expect
During the maintenance window, CSUMB Data Glossary users may experience limited or interrupted access to the site.
MyWikis has indicated that:
- Most cloud-hosted wikis are expected to remain accessible in read-only mode through secondary servers.
- Editing will not be available while systems are operating from the secondary servers.
- Some services, including MyWikis Self Service and MyWikis Backups Plus, will be unavailable during the maintenance.
- Temporary access issues may occur because of DNS disruptions.
- MyWikis has backups and contingency plans in place in the event of an infrastructure issue.
MyWikis recommends that users stop editing at least 30 minutes before the maintenance begins to reduce the possibility of edits being lost.
IAR monitoring and updates
Institutional Assessment and Research (IAR) will monitor the systems during and after the maintenance window. Once maintenance is complete, IAR will verify that affected systems and resources are operating normally and communicate to users when the systems are back online.
