Cal State Monterey Bay - Campus Data Warehouse Updates

Updated 12/20/2024: The following Graduation Initiative 2025 dashboards have been updated and are now available in Campus Data Warehouse production:  Shared folders > Dashboards > Graduation Initiative 2025:  Graduation Initiative 2025 Overview,  Graduation Initiative 2025 - Goal Progress,  Graduation Initiative 2025 - Additional Graduates Needed.  New and fixed features include:  "College at Matriculation" and "Major at Matriculation" control selections now carry across all of the various Graduation Initiative 2025 dashboards via the URL action links.  All links (including "Methodology" links in the footers have been configured to open in a new browser tab.  Fixed conditional color formatting on the Overview page progress indicator blocks.  Fixed Additional Graduates graphs that were showing small red bars for 0 additional graduates needed metric.  Thank you to all participants from our December 2024 Data User Advisory Group works...

Updated 12/11/2024:  The IPEDS - Completions dashboard has been updated in Campus Data Warehouse production to include additional Gender breakdowns in the controls. "Race / Ethnicity (IPEDS 2022)" has been defaulted in the Race / Ethnicity breakdown control. "Gender (IPEDS)" has been defaulted in the Gender breakdown control.   This dashboard is accessible via the following path:  Shared folders > Dashboards > Chancellor's Office Reports > IPEDS > IPEDS - Completions. 

Updated 12/11/2024:   Visualization fixes are now available in Campus Data Warehouse production for the following ERS Student dashboards:   Shared folders > Dashboards > Chancellor's Office Reports > Enrollment Planning Report (EPR) > Enrollment Planning Report (EPR) .  Select FTEs metric selector fixed (corrected typo and error in logic so that correct data displays when changing metric).  Shared folders > Dashboards > WASC > WASC .  Annual Report.  Fix the "Student Funding Type" filter to "Include" "Self Support" and "State Support" on Student Enrollment (new) and (old).  Fix the "Academic Plan Type" filter to "Include" "Certificate" and the "Academic Load" filter to "Exclude" "No Unit Load" on the "Certificates" table.  On the "Programs by Modality" table, sort ascending on "College Description", filter "Program Delivery...

Update 12/10/2024 :   A new dashboard page is now available in Campus Data Warehouse on the Courses (Non-Census) Overview dashboard > Class Size Distributions. This dashboard page provides a histogram distribution of class sections by class size (similar to a visualization available on the APDB Overview). The Class Size Distributions on the Courses (Non-Census) Overview dashboard will be updated daily. Updated 12/10/2024:  The following Academic Class dashboards were updated in Campus Data Warehouse production and are now available to users:  Academic Program Review > Student Faculty Ratio > Self Support Sessions - fixed Term Names filter to appropriately filter graphs.   Courses (Non-Census) Overview:  Fixed Enrollment as a % of capacity columns to have appropriate number formatting.   Fixed Term Dates Calendar linked analysis to appropriately respond to select Term control on the dashboard.  

Updated 12/5/2024:  The updated Degrees (Census) Overview dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production and includes data labels for all data visualizations. The "All" "All" subtitles have been removed and the College Description and Major Long Description fields have been changed to multi-select controls.  

Updated 12/5/2024:   The updated APDB Section - Multilevel Crosstab Table dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production, and the "Academic Group" filter is now working as expected.   

Updated 12/5/2024: The Term and Cumulative GPAs dashboard has been updated in Campus Data Warehouse production and the Admit Term filter control is now working as expected across all dashboard pages.

Updated 12/5/2024:  The updated Navigation and Help dashboard is now available in Campus Data Warehouse production.   The data load status label now reads "The Data Lake is current as of."   Also updated are the Campus Data Warehouse ticket links, which now redirect to the Help pages for submitting problem or enhancement tickets in our Campus Data Warehouse Updates blog.    

Updated 12/4/2024:  The "APDB Census Snapshot Dates by Term" linked dashboard on the Navigation and Help dashboard in Campus Data Warehouse production has been corrected to display the title "Academic Planning Database (APDB) Census Snapshot Dates by Term". The most recent APDB Census Snapshot term is also corrected.

Update 12/3/2024: The issue with Institution Summary dashboards (i.e. Graduation Initiative 2025 and Retention and Graduation) not updating as expected after the Fall 2024 ERS Student census load has been resolved. The hard-coded dataset calculations have been replaced with logic that will update automatically when new census data is loaded.  Graduation Initiative 2025 dashboards are now available in production but other Institution Summary dashboards (e.g. Retention and Graduation) remain unavailable as we continue to work to resolve issues with 'rehoming' returning students and inflated retention metrics.

Update 12/3/2024 : The issue where cohort status indicators on Graduation Initiative 2025 dashboards (i.e., "Currently Enrolled Cohorts" and "Graduated Cohorts") has been corrected across all applicable dashboards.  We've removed the hard-coded conditional formatting from the visualizations/layouts and swapped in a note indicating "Cohort for Graduation Initiative 2025 Goal" as in the example below.   The Graduation Initiative 2025 dashboards are now available in Campus Data Warehouse production via the following folder:  Shared folders > Dashboards > Graduation Initiative 2025

Update 12/3/2024: The Graduation Initative 2025 - Additional Graduates Needed metrics were corrected and no longer show decimals across any of the Graduation Initative 2025 dashboards. This fix is now available in production.  The other issues across the Retention and Graduation dashboards are still being worked on.
