New Feature: Class Schedule Adds Analytics for Average Enrollment Units for Variable Unit Courses

The Class Schedule dashboard in Campus Data Warehouse has been updated with a new page, for Variable Unit Courses. This page identifies courses offered with variable units and provides a three-year average of the units students enrolled in. The number of years to include can be toggled by the dashboard users depending on the analysis needs. Results include section count, total enrollment, and average enrollment units per student enrolled.

Users can filter the results by academic years, terms, subject, academic group, academic organization, course, session, and class ID. The dashboard also includes standard Class Schedule filters in the Controls at the top of the dashboard page.

Access the dashboard through Campus Data Warehouse: 

  • Shared folders / Dashboards / Courses / Courses (Non-Census) / Class Schedule. 
  • Navigate to the Variable Unit Courses page.

Business use case: Some courses are offered with variable units. In evaluating degree pathways and counting hypothetical units to degree, analysts need a best guess of how many units the required variable unit course will contribute.
