Wrong Academic Plan Effective Date for ERSx
Update June 10, 2026:
A fix for the Academic Plan effective dates at census has been applied to ERS Student [i.e. Enrollment (Census)] dashboards in Campus Data Warehouse production. This fix adjusts Academic Plan data that changed after census snapshots to their status as of census where possible. This resolves many of the discrepancies on the Enrollment (Census) dashboards between the Major Concentration (e.g. College Description/Major Long Description) and Academic Plan (e.g. Academic Plan Owner/Academic Plan) fields.
A small number of differences remains due to discrepancies where Major Concentration was incorrectly set, and some Academic Plan records cannot be corrected due to removed or otherwise missing data in the source (OASIS) after census (e.g. a student was removed after census). A small number of records also have discrepancies in the Academic Careers in the Enrollment (Census) captures, and our data warehouse developers are continuing to work on that issue. Additional updates will be provided as the Academic Career discrepancies are resolved. In addition, downstream data models such as Institution Summary (Retention and Graduation) are still pending correction.

Academic program and Academic plans have the wrong effective date when integrated with the various ERSx data models (e.g. Applicant, Student, etc.)
As a result, Academic Program and Academic Plan fields on the dashboard may reflect changes to these fields beyond the snapshot date of the various ERSx datasets. For example, when we load the self-support census merge into the data models, students that changed their Academic Program or Academic Plan after census may appear in a different program or plan than they were in at Census.
The Data Warehouse team is working on reviewing and updating the logic to use the snapshot date rather than the sysdate or load date
