Update 7/23/2026: With the recent addition of Academic Plan filters to the Credentials, Overviews, Executive Overview, and Academic Program Review dashboards, the Academic Plan dashboard user experience improvement project is now complete. Across applicable Campus Data Warehouse dashboards, the default fields used in visuals and on-dashboard filters are now: Academic Plan Owner (College) Degree Description Academic Plan (Major) These fields replace CSU Major Concentration fields—such as College Description, Degree Group, and Major Long Description—as the default dashboard selections. CSU Major Concentration fields remain available as Group Breakdown options on most dashboards. Concentration also remains available as an on-dashboard filter on many dashboards. The correction to Academic Plan effective-date logic resolved most discrepancies between the Academic Plan and CSU Major Concentration fields. Update 7/23/2026: Credentials-related dashboards based on the ERS Credentials dataset have been updated with the renaming of Legacy Race / Ethnicity fields and the addition of IPEDS Race / Ethnicity fields in Campus Data Warehouse. The IPEDS Race / Ethnicity and IPEDS Underrepresented Minority (URM) fields have replaced the Legacy Race / Ethnicity (pre-2026) and Legacy Underrepresented Minority (pre-2026) filters in the Controls dropdowns at the top of the dashboard, where appropriate. Both the IPEDS and Legacy fields are available in the Group Breakdowns, but the Legacy fields will not have data for Fall 2026 applicants and enrollees. Because students typically receive credential recommendations later in their academic careers, the impact on this dashboard may not become visible immediately. The Overview dashboards, Executive Overview, and Enrollment Fast Facts dashboards in Campus Data Warehouse have been updated with new filters for Academic Plan Owner (College), Degree Description, and Academic Plan (Major) so that they are more consistent with the default filters available across other dashboards. Academic Plan Owner (College) and Academic Plan (Major) were also swapped into various dashboard visualizations where appropriate.  These fields replace the Major / Concentration controls previously used in the dashboards. The updated Academic Plan controls more closely align the Overview and Fast Facts dashboards with changes incorporated across other Campus Data Warehouse data models, trends, and crosstab dashboards. Update July 16, 2026:    A fix for the Academic Plan effective dates at census has been applied to Institution Summary [i.e. Retention and Graduation] dashboards in Campus Data Warehouse production. This fix adjusts Academic Plan at Matriculation data that changed after census snapshots to their status as of census of their matriculation term where possible. This resolves many of the discrepancies on the Retention and Graduation dashboards between the Major Concentration (e.g. College Description/Major Long Description at Matriculation) and Academic Plan (e.g. Academic Plan Owner/Academic Plan at Matriculation) fields.  

The Academic Program Health dashboard in Campus Data Warehouse production has been updated with a fix for the custom narrative insights summarizing the data for each visual. The narratives are now populating as expected.

Update 3/25/2026:  The issue with the null data appearing for Race / Ethnicity fields across Enrollment (ERS Student) and Admissions Funnel historical census dashboards has been resolved. These data are now populating across dashboards as expected.

The Campus Data Warehouse has been loaded with ERS applicant and student census data for Spring 2026.   You may now find updated Spring 2026 census data on the following dashboards:  Enrollment:  Enrollment (Census) > Terms Detail  Enrollment (Census) > Academic Years Detail  Term Enrollment Fast Facts > Enrollment Fast Facts (Census)  Admissions:  Admissions Funnel (Census Snapshots) > Admissions Funnel Detail  Academic Program Review:  Admissions  Demographics   Several Common Data Set and Chancellor's Office Reports dashboards.

Gender (IPEDS) was updated in production across a number of Chancellor's Office Reports dashboards to account for changes needed in the logic to use codes rather than descriptions. Most dashboards where this was an impact are found in:  Shared folders / Dashboards / Chancellor's Office Reports / IPEDS.

As part of (TDx # 21793628) and the Chancellor's Office data lake deprecations responding to financial aid regulatory changes, the Campus Data Warehouse development team pulled all Financial Aid data loads as a temporary solution.  As a result, from Spring 2025 and onward, all Financial Aid fields on dashboards in Campus Data Warehouse will display as "Unspecified."  A redesign is in progress so allowed Financial Aid information (aid awarded categories but nothing from FAFSA) can flow into Campus Data Warehouse and back populate data since the last retrofit. 

The Campus Data Warehouse team is aware of a problem with various ERS dashboards in production where the default control values are not updating to the most recent available data. We are currently working on a solution. A general resolution is estimated to be available by October 31, but some dashboards may need to be addressed on a case-by-case basis and could take longer. In the meantime, you may need to manually change the "Academic Year" and "Term" controls on the dashboards to view the updated data. The Campus Data Warehouse team is aware of a problem in production where College and Major Long Description controls on Institution Summary dashboards (e.g. Retention and Graduation and Graduation Initiative 2025) function differently in our modernized data warehouse than they did in our legacy system. This issue likely is a global issue for ERS (Census)-based dashboards. You need to select both old and new college and major names when using the filter controls on dashboards or you will not see all historical data.
