Cal State Monterey Bay - Campus Data Warehouse Updates

The Campus Data Warehouse has been loaded with Degrees census data for the fall of 2024 and the spring of 2025.  You may now find updated census data on the following dashboards: Degrees: Degrees (Census) - Academic Years Detail Degrees (Census) - Terms Detail Time and Average Units to Degree Degrees (Census) - Composite Degree Honors Degree (Census) - Composite Multilevel Crosstab Table Academic Program Review: Academic Program Review > Degrees Preliminary Retention and Graduation (Non-Census) Graduation Note: We need your help in ensuring any problems you see are reported. Please submit a  Campus Data Warehouse Problem ticket  for any issues so we can resolve them. 

As part of (TDx # 21793628) and the Chancellor's Office data lake deprecations responding to financial aid regulatory changes, the Campus Data Warehouse development team pulled all Financial Aid data loads as a temporary solution.  As a result, from Spring 2025 and onward, all Financial Aid fields on dashboards in Campus Data Warehouse will display as "Unspecified."  A redesign is in progress so allowed Financial Aid information (aid awarded categories but nothing from FAFSA) can flow into Campus Data Warehouse and back populate data since the last retrofit. 

Update 7/25/2025: The issue with rehoming returning students into their appropriate cohorts that was impacting the Retention and Graduation dashboard has been resolved. Retention and Graduation dashboards are now available to users in QuickSight production.

Update 7/25/2025: Inflated retention rates issue is resolved.  The issue that was causing duplications and inflated retention rates on the Retention and Graduation dashboards in QuickSight has been resolved and Retention and Graduation dashboards are now available to users in production.

Update 7/25/2025: The Retention and Graduation Detail > Equity Gaps dashboard is corrected and now available in QuickSight production. Update 10/4/2024:  The Course GPA Equity Gaps dashboard has been fixed in production to accommodate the changed "CA Legal Gender" labels of "Woman" and "Man" made to OASIS last month. Update 7/25/2025: The issue with Retention and Graduation rates that were not updating on the Executive Overview in Campus Data Warehouse has been resolved in this is now available to users in QuickSight production.

Update 7/1/2025: The daily load was restarted manually and loaded for 6/30/2025. Today's daily load for 7/1/2025 was completed successfully following the automated process. We continue to monitor.

Update 6/26/2025: The issue with access to the legacy Campus Data Warehouse (Oracle) has been resolved. You may now access the legacy system at https:csumb.edu/datawarehouse. Note: we continue to monitor daily loads in the legacy system after several days of data load failures. If you experience any problems with login to Oracle, please open an Optimize case .
